The number of emails we receive seems to increase each day.
This alone can bring on feelings of overwhelm due to no time to focus properly.
Emails are an integral part of our working lives so it's important that we use them wisely. Improving your approach to email writing can help deal with that feeling of overwhelm.
Here are answers to questions we've been asked about our email self-study course that may help you to consider investing in yourself.
Writing emails isn't difficult so why is a course necessary?
Emails are now an essential part of our working lives and our need to get information out quickly has also resulted in email overwhelm and fatigue.
I've worked with both individuals and teams to help them improve their writing skills and in particular, the writing of emails. This course brings together techniques to address areas that have been the most concern for people in a cost-effective, non-fluff way. Everything that is covered can be applied immediately to your emails.
If it's a self-study course, why are there only 17 spots available?
As a self-study course, you can complete it at your own pace. Even so, there are usually questions that arise. This course allows you to ask those questions.
Having limited numbers means that I can answer your questions in a timely manner, supporting you to improve your skills quickly.
How is the course structured?
The course has three stages:
- Determining the best approach for your email
- Composing your email
- Best practice techniques before pressing Send
You can complete the stages in the order that works best for you.
The modules contain short videos which provide information, examples and techniques to help you with your emails. Short activities are provided in some of the modules to help you practise the skills covered before applying them to your emails. Quick reference guides are also provided throughout the course.
How long will the course take to complete?
The beauty of this course is that you can focus on those areas that you need to improve upon and go back to it as often as needed.
The whole course should take approximately two hours to complete. However, you can take as long as you need to complete the course.
How long will I have access to the course?
You will have life-time access to the course. You can re-visit it as often as required.
What's the benefit of joining the waiting list?
Those who decide to join the waiting list are sent bonus material to help them with the writing of their emails before the course is released. There is no obligation to purchase the course if you're on the waiting list.
You're also given first priority to access the course 24 hours before it's released to everyone else.
That means that at 12 noon on Wednesday, 8 June (AEST), those on the waiting list will receive an email with information on how they can purchase the course. It will be released to everyone else at 12 noon on Thursday, 9 June (AEST).
If you're not based on the east coast of Australia, you can check your time zone here.
